Dani Carvajal admits he acted as a matchmaker in helping Rodri sign for Real Madrid. The 28-year-old midfielder has been a key figure for Manchester City and the Spanish national team. “I told him every day to leave Manchester, there is no sun there. And to come to Madrid because we need him. He told me he had a contract but he would be a perfect player for us.”
The incident has left City fans very unhappy. Especially on social media. Where Carvajal has been slammed for being ill-mannered. Unlike Los Blancos fans who want to see the 28-year-old midfielder move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Rodri is currently contracted to Man City until mid-2027.
